21 Weeks

Today I am 21 weeks. So according to the doctors, our little baby boy will be born in 19 weeks. I am so excited to meet him. I wonder what he will look like? We he look like his Mommy? Will he look like his Daddy? Or will he look like his big sister? My hope for him is that he is as happy as his big sister.

I am worried that Molly is going to think that she isn't loved as much. I hope that she knows that I will always find time to play with her, or read her stories, or whatever it is that she wants to do.

I am so sad that my dad won't know this new baby. I know that he would have been so excited to have another baby in the family. I know that he is looking down on us and smiling.

I hope that both my babies know how much their Pa-Pa loved them and how proud he was of all his kids and grandkids.

Thankful

Today is Thanksgiving. I am watching TV while Molly & Todd sleep. I am thankful for so many things in my life. Here are just a few of them.

I am thankful for Todd & how we are working on our marriage.
I am thankful for my sweet baby girl. She makes me want to be a better person everyday.
I am thankful for the baby that is growing in my tummy. We found out it was a boy on Monday.
I am thankful for my mom. She is such a strong woman. I hope to be that strong someday.
I am thankful for the 30 wonderful years I had with my dad. I miss you everyday!
I am thankful for Todd's parents. Without them, I don't know where we would be.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Can't believe it...

I was your typical daddy's girl. Before I met Todd, he was the person I called when I was in a jam. He would call me every day just to see how I was doing. We would talk about nothing. Then he got sick. He had a heart attack in 2003. After his heart attack, he wasn't the same person. He retired in 2006, and in 2007 he really started to decline. On June 5, 2008, he found out he had stage 4 liver cancer. He fought it for as long as he could, but he passed away on October 26, 2008. I can't believe that it has been over a year since I have heard his voice, or gave him a hug. I can't believe that he has missed a year in my life, but also my daughter's life. Molly will never know her Pa-Pa. The few pictures I have of the two of them I treasure. I would give anything to pick up the phone and hear my dad's voice on the other side. It is so weird, because I will go days without being sad, and then something will happen and I will feel like I have been punched in the stomach. Sometimes I just start crying for no reason. It is really hard now with the new baby on the way. I can't believe that there is going to be a person in my family that my dad will never know. It is heartbreaking.

Tree Stumps

Tomorrow I will be 18 weeks pregnant. So, if I am early like I was with Molly, I am more than half-way through my pregnancy. So far everything is going really well. The only thing that I have is major water retention. It is so annoying, because not only do my feet and ankles swell an ungodly amount, but people love to comment. That is the worst. So unless the swelling goes down, I will be telling people for the next 22 weeks, that my blood pressure is fine. But if that is the worst thing that happens, I think I will take it.

Thankful

I can't believe that it is already November. This year has flown by. At the beginning of the year, Molly was just starting to roll over. Now she is running through the house like a mad woman. It is one of the million things that makes me smile.

Not only am I lucky to have one beautiful baby girl, but another baby is on the way. I can't believe that in 22 weeks, we will be adding another person to our family.
